The consultation and staff friendliness were just so-so, but the director was truly the worst. During the consultation, I thought that no matter what I say, I should speak directly to the person doing the procedure while looking at my face, so right before the procedure I drew the areas I wanted on a picture and personally told them I wanted only those exact areas treated. I also said I had gotten Ellansé in the nasolabial folds, and the director personally mentioned that they could see filler when I was lying down. I naturally drew around the places where I had filler, but the director ignored the entire area I marked and just shot wherever they wanted. They passed Liftingera over the Ellansé area, and it swelled up like I’d been stung by bees; the lip line bulged out like a monkey’s and sagged downward. I called the clinic and asked for the pre-procedure photos and told them what happened, and they said they’d contact me, but they never did. So I called again before closing time, and they said the director had already left. They said they would call the next morning, but since it looked even worse when I woke up, I came in immediately and showed my face in person. The director just said it was swelling and acted like, so what if it is? If I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have gotten it done, and I wasn’t trying to get it done there in the first place. But they said swelling is only natural and that they were worried about the nasolabial folds, so that’s why they treated there. They acted brazenly, saying that it must have been in the consent form when I signed it, but they thought it was so obvious and that I should know it well that they didn’t bother explaining. When I asked how long the swelling would last and what they would do if it didn’t go down, they just said it would go away and told me to put ointment on every day if I was really worried, then walked off. Some nurse or staff member stood awkwardly beside me while I applied the ointment and left. But that ointment wasn’t even something the clinic gave me; they said I had to buy it and use it. When I asked what ointment it was, they said it was the kind used when removing moles, but it felt like they were just tossing me anything because they couldn’t be bothered. I didn’t trust it, so I didn’t take it. I asked for all the medical records and paperwork, and after making me wait an hour, they gave me just one sheet of paper. I got Liftingera because they said the pain and swelling were both mild, but after that I canceled all my personal plans and have been going to work while never taking off my mask. No matter how much of the chief director they are, any place that gives off the vibe of not doing what I ask from now on, even if it’s right after anesthesia and just before the procedure, I’m walking out.
