Director Kang's appointment was at 1:00, arrived at 1:00, and left at 2:00. After going in, I barely waited and then had a consultation with the manager. The manager’s consultation didn’t feel especially professional, but it was brief and kind, so I liked it. They didn’t even shape the line. It felt better than places where the manager acts like a doctor, draws the line, and even handles consultations that should be left to the surgeon. It wasn’t fake kindness like some overly cheerful manager character, and it also didn’t feel like they were secretly irritated. It was comfortable. The manager’s consultation ended quickly and they left, and at 1:12 I was told that the director’s surgery was delayed because of a hemostasis issue, so the consultation would be about 10 minutes late. The director came about 20 minutes later. The director really did draw the line a lot. They touched around the eye area and seemed to draw it at least 20 times. But mostly they looked by themselves, and I didn’t get to look in the mirror much. I wasn’t expecting much from the line, but they made it pretty, so I was surprised. In fact, it was much prettier than the hospital I had gone to before with high expectations. That previous hospital barely drew the line in the first place, and among the lines they did draw, there wasn’t one I especially liked. On top of that, saying that was the best they could do bothered me a bit. They recommended non-incisional surgery, and if I only wanted one eye, they said they could remove some fat at the outer corner, but since it would be a waste to cut it open for such an eye, they asked why bother? I also liked that they kept asking if I had more questions. I thought, is this the difference a 10,000-won consultation fee makes? I also felt the aftercare was good because they said I would definitely have follow-up checks with the director here, and that they would keep taking good care of me even years after the surgery or something like that. But I already put down a deposit at another place, so I don’t think I’ll do it here.. Still, objectively, I think this place wins in waiting time, consultation, price, and aftercare.. I’m planning to go with the surgeon I chose based on skill alone. I recommend coming for a consultation at Jesta.
