They ruined both the function and appearance of my nose. It has already been 3 years. The specific communication about the shape was not very good.. I wanted to lower the bridge because it looked like a man's nose, and that was my main goal.. and then I wanted the nostrils to be smaller. I kept saying I did not want a cotton swab nose, and I really wanted it to look so natural that it seemed like I had not had surgery at all, but all of that was completely ignored, and now I have what looks like a Michael Jackson nose.. They said they could not lower the bridge I wanted because my brow bone was high and the area between my eyebrows was sunk in too much, making it look odd.. My original nose was very low, and the problem was that the bridge had been made too high with Gore-Tex in the first surgery, so they should have designed silicone somewhere in between.. but they lacked that skill. They also recommended osteotomy, and I said several times that I did not want osteotomy, but they said shape improvement would not be possible without it, so I eventually had osteotomy. Was I a lab rat? The manager saying they did a lot of osteotomies still sounds like a nightmare to me.. what was the reason to cut so much from someone who said they did not want it? Now I have functional problems.. one side of my nose is blocked.. and the airflow goes down to my throat. It has become too narrow because of the osteotomy, so air does not go upward.. It is so thin and tight that when I wear glasses, they slide down, so I tied a rubber band at the back. My septum is also bent, and they over-tightened the tip, so it feels pinched like a clothespin.. one nostril is pinched into a triangle and I can feel scar tissue. The incision line on my nose looks crooked, and the silicone even shows white.. and when it is hot, it turns red.. I am going to a university hospital.. Reconstruction of the osteotomy itself is not easy.. and because of the airway, I am considering spreader grafts. Spreader grafts also have side effects like an empty nose, but I have no choice.. Do not do osteotomy.. Ah... if I could really turn it back, I would turn time back. ...
