About ten-plus years ago, one side of my double eyelid kept loosening, so I got a consultation for buried-suture double eyelid surgery (at the time, I think the clinic website called it a double buried-suture method) at a nearby plastic surgery clinic. My eyes weren't far apart, but they said I had an epicanthic fold and also recommended epicanthoplasty, so I went ahead with double buried sutures and epicanthoplasty. They said it would take at most 30 minutes to 1 hour, but in reality it was more than an hour and a half, almost two hours before I came out. After light sedation, they used local anesthesia, and during the surgery they kept making me open and close my eyes. The order was light sedation, epicanthoplasty, local anesthesia, then double eyelid surgery, but during the epicanthoplasty they said something like it wasn't going smoothly, which made me feel uneasy. It didn't feel like a smooth procedure ㅠㅠ The swelling lasted much longer than I expected, and in the end the double eyelid line stayed for a long time, but the line itself became different on both sides and the height was different. One eye started to loosen again from some point on. The depressed scar from the epicanthoplasty feels like it will last forever.. I even bought the expensive scar ointment they sold at the clinic and applied itㅜㅜ Since the eyelid loosened again, sometimes I get a strong foreign-body sensation on the inside, and I feel like the thread may have snapped and come out.. I want to go to a clinic to get it checked and remove it if needed, but the clinic is gone and it doesn't seem like the director is at another clinic either ㅠㅠ
