I had the full-incision surgery about 5 years ago. I had stopped by because the factory-style clinic nearby was so unfriendly, and since this was a private clinic I liked it. During the consultation, the director personally looked at my eyes, had me open and close them, checked my eye-opening strength, and then discussed the cost with the manager. I wasn't originally planning to get an epicanthoplasty, but they said it would be better if I wanted the out-line I was after, so I ended up getting it. During surgery, they would occasionally have me open my eyes to check the tension in the eyelids, and because I could see the same doctor I had met during the consultation, there was no need to worry about a locum doctor. That said, I was opening my eyes too wide, so one muscle felt like it was pulled up too much, and I had a revision surgery two days later. There was no additional cost, and the foreign-body feeling went away right away. If you feel discomfort, go to the clinic as soon as possible. In the end, I got exactly the thickness I wanted, naturally and without any scars. After a long time passed, it did become a bit thinner, but unless I say something, everyone thinks it's naturally like this. I don't recommend it for people who like a flashy look, but if you like a natural result, I highly recommend it. Please ask them to remove the stitches a little early. My skin regenerates quickly, so the stitch marks lasted about a year.
