I went for a consultation to have the cartilage in my nose removed. My nasal inflammation had calmed down a bit, and they said that if antibiotics improved it, I might not even need revision surgery, so I just had the consultation and went home. When I asked whether there would be any side effects if I removed it, they said there would be almost none, but the tip of my nose would droop a bit compared to before. They recommended that revision surgery not be done at the same time as the removal, but separately after removing it and checking the condition, because that would put less strain on the nose~ They explained the removal surgery in an easy way, which put my mind at ease, but I held off on proceeding with surgery because I was worried whether that was really true and whether there was any possibility of contracture. I really wish it could just go back to how it was before... The doctor is kind and explains things well.
