I don't know about other branches of Abijou, but the Gangnam branch is the worst. Since I had bought a package for 5 laser hair-removal sessions, I kept going... The first time I got hair removal, I thought they were going to start the procedure and apply gel, but the doctor went to another patient's bed and didn't come back, so I thought it was strange, but then it turned out the procedure was over. Anyone who's had hair removal here knows they carry out treatment like a factory, alternating between patients in a two-bed room. They put on gel, the laser hair-removal device slides across once, they skip over half the treatment area and just move on, and they never pass over the same spot twice. It's just a quick swish-swish-swish and it's done. I was just thinking, okay, now they're spreading the gel, but the hair removal was already over, and the nurse wiped off the gel. Of course the hair-removal effect was nonexistent, and if you say that to the staff at reception, they give you the manual response. (Laser hair removal has a burn risk, so we can't do more. Robot answer.) The manager in her late 30s who worked there last summer has quit, and seeing the staff change often and recite the manual makes it look like the staff are getting crushed between stress from above and patient complaints. The doctors may have organizational stress too. The male doctor does the work in a perfunctory way, like an unwilling employee in the service industry who doesn't want to be there. There is also a female doctor who does laser hair removal here, and after complaining to the manager, I got to have hair removal with her exactly once. When the female doctor did it, the laser passed over almost the entire hair-removal area once, very carefully, about three times longer than the male doctor's treatment. The very last time I went, the original male doctor was in charge again, and he rubbed the laser tip that had hair from the patient on the next bed all over my philtrum... At this point I think that says it all. There's more, but I really have nothing else to say.
