My nose was low, so I planned not to put in silicone, and they said it could be done closed, so I chose it because I wanted no scar and fewer side effects. The overall shape was fine, and it was a satisfying surgery with no side effects, but the shape looks awkward when seen from below, so even though it has almost been a year, I still wish the height would come down more. If a small nose is made too high, it looks awkward from bottom to top and becomes a pig nose with an 11-shape. When you look at celebrities with a similarly high nose but a columella that is thick in front, you do not see the nostrils turned up. I think the thick columella that used to cover my low nose was pulled up and disappeared. As the tip of my nose drops more than it did right after surgery, the columella seems to show more, so the shape is becoming more natural, and now I am actually waiting for it to sag faster. For small noses, do not be too greedy about height, and keep it moderate. Also, even with ear cartilage, they said they would still build up the column, so it seems like you cannot do the pig-nose test.
