I had my first surgery here after being discharged from the military in October 2014. My eyes were ruined. I still can't forget it. As for my nose, I had it done with Dr. Lee So-young, who was in her 30s at the time and isn't there now, and whether it turned out well or not, I just lived satisfied with the fact that my bridge became higher. But with my eyes, I only wanted to improve the sleepy look I naturally had, and I wanted to become someone with no double eyelids but big eyes, like the celebrity Nam Joo-hyuk, so I consulted a doctor named Jeon Jeong-hwan at the time. He said that to improve the sleepy look, I would need eye correction surgery, and if I was going to have eye correction, I had to get double eyelids along with it, at least a hidden double eyelid. So I asked whether it was possible to have a hidden double eyelid that looked almost like no double eyelid at all, and he said no. I thought, oh, so that's not possible, I'll just do the nose. But the consultation director still told me to get a consultation with the chief director since I was already there, so I had a second consultation on the same area with Director Jeong Yoo-seok. He answered the same question very clearly and kindly with a smile that it was possible, and I completely misunderstood that it was because he was the chief director and had the experience to do it. So I ended up having surgery, but what I wanted was a hidden double eyelid that looked like no double eyelid, and instead it was an obvious thick double eyelid. The epicanthoplasty didn't just leave hook-shaped scars, it was over-opened too, so my impression changed drastically, I looked mean, and I ended up with a face that looked obviously operated on and unnatural. I was in my early 20s, not even yet in my mid-20s, and at a time when I was very interested in romance and wanted to live a better life for my own satisfaction, but for over a year I couldn't even look at people's faces straight on from close up. I didn't meet friends, and at a crucial time when I should have been running toward my dream, while others were doing something constructive for themselves, I was wasting unnecessary time and money again on revision and restoration surgeries to put my eyes back the way they were. I'm 30 now... and I still remember it vividly and bitterly regret it. By now I have already had my double eyelids released at another hospital, and I have also had epicanthoplasty restoration twice, but there is still a visual bulge at the inner corners of my eyes, so I am paying the price for making the first mistake. At one point I even felt like going there to kill him; for me he is an evil person I will remember forever.
