- About 250 to 300cc is inserted in the first procedure. The second procedure is said to add about 150cc of frozen fat. (The fat harvested in the first procedure is frozen and then used again in the second.) - I was very surprised that frozen fat is used in fat grafting surgery. They say it’s stored in a dedicated freezer, but I wonder if such freezers even exist in Korea.. - Surgery time is 2 to 2.5 hours. If there isn’t enough fat, it could take just under 3 hours. - Several doctors. I consulted with the chief director. First the consultation manager explained the overall surgery, then the director came in, looked at the ultrasound, and told me to ask anything I was curious about. - If I asked the director anything, he would answer, but then kept saying, “Again?” - They check how much fat there is with ultrasound. - Four follow-up care sessions are included, but the aftercare is just scar and swelling management for the liposuction site, and they said there isn’t really anything separate to manage for the breast. - They didn’t tell me about side effects first. When I asked how the hospital would treat me if calcification or oil cysts developed, they said, “Actually, those things don’t cause cancer, so there’s no need to remove them separately.” They said treatment is only needed if a really large calcification forms. - No smoking n n (it lowers the take rate) - If they do liposuction up to the abdomen, six stitch marks remain in total - No chest scar - No pressure to pay a deposit after consultation. No consultation fee. Both the doctor and the consultation manager are pretty laid-back and don’t really try to sell anything.
