Because my nose is blunt, I went in thinking about autologous rib cartilage that could support it, but after the CT scan they thought the septum looked okay, so they said to open the nose during surgery, check the condition, and if it's fine go with the septum, and if not, use donated rib cartilage. I got the feeling they don't use autologous rib cartilage much?
