A friend once had double-eyelid surgery with canthoplasty and it went terribly wrong, so I kept telling myself I had to be extremely careful and put it off. I finally had surgery this year, you know? After getting ptosis correction and medial-upper canthoplasty, my eyes really did become prettier... You all had been keeping something this good to yourselves, huh... Just kidding. I chose ptosis correction instead of double-eyelid surgery because I have a bit of ptosis, and since I was creating a crease anyway, I thought ptosis correction would also be functionally better. That was also what I was advised. I also had hooked medial canthoplasty because I thought removing the epicanthal folds would make the inner corners look cleaner. They said it was easier to remove everything cleanly and adjust the shape so it would not look too sharp than with medial or upper canthoplasty alone, so I went with that. It was not as expensive as I expected. When I went for a consultation in March, I was impressed that they explained each procedure one by one—ptosis correction as ptosis correction, medial canthoplasty as medial canthoplasty—but later learned they did that for every consultation, not just mine. After the consultation, I found out that my friend had undergone reconstruction at [Clinic A]. Her eyes had become so much prettier, and the reviews for the canthoplasty were good too, which was why I went for a consultation. Although it was a different surgery, hearing that an even more difficult procedure had gone well made me fixate on the consultation too, and somehow I ended up going through with surgery as smoothly as a snake slipping over a wall. It has been about seven months, but I still find myself looking in the mirror quite often. With clear eyes and open inner corners, it is nice to look at, and when I put on some makeup, I am really, really satisfied. I see why everyone invests in becoming this way, and I do not regret becoming one of those people lol.
