There was no clear explanation of the method or the incision site. - At a previous hospital consultation, because of my asymmetrical chest wall structure, I was recommended a subpectoral inframammary incision. So I wanted an answer like, 'Because my body type is like this, we will use this method.' Since there was no mention of the surgical method or incision, I asked, 'Then it will be dual-plane with an armpit incision, right?' His response, basically saying patients don't need to know details like that, was very shocking. It is basic to recommend a surgical method based on body type when operating on your own body. But since he always uses the same method, I guess that is why he reacted like that. 2. He did not touch my body to assess it. (No mention of tissue quality) - All he did was measure my breasts with a ruler and mark them with a pen, and there was no touching at all that would let him feel the tissue quality. So I wanted to ask about that, but after what felt like about 10 minutes of consultation, when I tried to ask about my tissue quality, I was told, <I cannot answer every question in detail because of time, so go ask the counselor over there.> 3. He did not bring up possible bad outcomes after surgery first - At the previous hospital, I heard in detail about what problems could happen because of my asymmetrical chest bone structure. So here I was curious about how they would think about my prognosis, but it was not mentioned. So when I asked, 'Wouldn't this cause the nipples to point inward or the breasts to become uneven?' only then did he answer, 'That could happen.' <If this hospital were not famous, I would never even consider having surgery here.> However, unlike the previous hospital, he confidently talked about the prognosis, and I could not tell whether he was saying that because it was actually possible or because he had just glanced at me and was speaking carelessly. If there are problems after surgery, such as not liking the shape, I expect I would be very, very stressed by the doctor.
