I had double eyelid surgery at this hospital 10 years ago. I’m writing this because I hope no one else gets scammed like I did. 10 years ago I had incisional surgery + front canthoplasty + ptosis correction (eye shape correction), and because there was so much fat in my eyelids, they also removed fat. If I remember correctly, they said they would take responsibility for all after-service in the future, and at the time it was much more expensive than the first-surgery prices at other hospitals. (And it was cash price, too.) I was too young then, and I went through an introduction, so I impulsively decided and barely compared estimates before suddenly choosing surgery. I had the surgery, and about a year later they recommended a revision because some asymmetry showed up, so I had revision surgery. There was no extra cost then. About 10 years later, as of recently, I lost a lot of facial fat and the upper eyelids also hollowed out, so the uneven eyes + looseness became severe, and I went back to ask about revision surgery. They said correcting only the right eye would cost 120. For revision on both eyes they said 380, and with lower eyelid fat repositioning for 380 plus a forehead lift recommendation, they quoted nearly 10 million won. From there I felt something was wrong. After going to consultations, not a single hospital mentioned lower eyelid fat repositioning at a 3 million won range. In fact, after consulting other hospitals, I found out that my front canthoplasty had been overdone, and that the fact that the double eyelid line and the front canthus were not connected was the part that needed correction most urgently. But in this hospital’s consultation, they left that part out completely and the doctor talked as if they had intentionally left the front canthoplasty incision unconnected. And the forehead lift was mostly discouraged, and the lower eyelid fat repositioning was also supposed to be decided only after first seeing how the double eyelid revision goes, according to the majority opinion. Of course, surgeries can’t be perfect, and aesthetic standards vary by person, so I can accept that to some degree. But I felt the after-service style and attitude were far too poor.
