I finally got to meet the surgeon for the second time as a pedestrian and completed the consultation. I had lived without understanding the concept of a deviated septum, but after going around to clinics recently and learning about it, I was recommended functional nose surgery, so I also submitted my scan here and consulted for functional nose surgery. The manager was friendly and easy to talk to. The surgeon felt a little blunt, maybe because this consultation had not been planned. Still, he listened carefully to everything I had to say. He gave me the impression that he would never overdo it. Even though I mentioned the functional nose findings from another hospital’s CT, he does do functional nose surgery, but he did not recommend it. That made me trust him. He also seemed confident about the results.
