This is the biggest hospital in Ulsan, and my relatives have been coming here for a very long time too, so I went as well (December 2024). Because it was rhinitis plus cosmetic surgery, I got reimbursed for the rhinitis part and received a cosmetic surgery quote of 1.6 million won (without an implant). They said it would be 2.2 million if silicone was used. The consultant was kind and explained the insurance claim in detail. They said getting a CT scan would help me get the reimbursement more reliably, so I went to an affiliated hospital to get one. That affiliated hospital is also old and famous in Ulsan. Looking at old reviews here, there were quite a few saying the doctor doesn't consult with you, but I was able to look at my nose together with the chief doctor and he told me the problems and how to improve them. If it had been just me and the consultant like in the old reviews, I wouldn't even have made a tentative reservation. Because I have a nasal bridge and it's my first surgery, he said we should try using the septum, and if the cartilage harvested at that time was too crooked, we'd use ear cartilage. He said rib cartilage is only used for revision surgery. He explained everything easily and for a long time, more than I expected. They also took facial photos right after check-in, and the consultant explained the doctor's schedule, whether an implant was needed, and the insurance reimbursement well (without acting like a doctor). However, if I made a tentative reservation that day, I got about a 700,000 won discount, so I did it (a little tempting).. anyway it just fixes the consultation fee, and I can cancel. I had a prejudice against big hospitals, but I think they are much more systematic than private clinics. I do worry a little about proxy surgery, but I decided to trust them and have the surgery here. What was funny was that the consultant said she had her own nose done here too and asked me to touch it, saying it wasn't very natural, right? lol But it really was natural, so I was surprised.. Well, believe it or not.
