I called for a consultation at Shin Nonhyeon P Plastic Surgery in June 2021 because I was worried about sagging skin, and a person named Shin, who was the senior manager there, kept saying they were busy with patients and ended up consulting with me by phone almost at 11 p.m. Since they even gave me a phone consultation that late at night, I had a good impression of them at the time and thought they were kind. So I made time and visited the hospital, and the consultation manager looked at me and said my skin wasn't sagging enough to need surgery, that a skin laser procedure could improve it to some extent, and recommended Ultherapy and Rejuran. A few days later, I trusted that consultation manager and got Ultherapy 300 shots, Rejuran 4 cc, and salivary gland Botox at this hospital. I was told Ultherapy and Rejuran are very painful, so I had the procedure under sedation, and I’ve had surgery here and there under sedation before, more than once or twice, but I don’t know what kind of drugs they use here because even two hours after the procedure I still could not wake up from the anesthesia at all, and I was so dizzy until the next day. It was the first time in my life that I had such a hard time after sedation. If the result had been good, I wouldn’t need to say any of this. But after the procedure, the once-plump facial fat became gaunt, so I looked 5 to 6 years older than before. I also got 4 cc of Rejuran, but my skin looked even drier and rougher, and the salivary gland Botox barely changed the size of my salivary glands. At the time, during the phone and in-person consultations, I never said I wanted to lose facial fat, and I repeatedly said I was considering surgery because of sagging skin, but the consultation manager recommended procedures that did not suit me. Ultherapy laser makes the skin contract so it sticks to the muscle, which only makes facial fat look thinner; it does not lift sagging skin, so I ended up looking much older than before the procedure. After going through the pain of sedation and receiving three procedures, none of them worked, so I visited the hospital in September 2021 and asked for a refund. The doctor also looked at the before-and-after photos and admitted it, but said refunds were not possible and instead offered nasolabial fold filler and outer-corner wrinkle Botox as a service, then left saying he had surgery to do. But I paid a huge amount of money, over 1.2 million won, with a cash discount, went through the pain of sedation, looked much older than I originally did after the procedure, which also affected my work, and none of the three procedures had any effect at all. Compared to that, I could not accept that level of service, so I told the consultation manager to also do calf Botox. She said she would check with the doctor and call me back, but there was no call after that, so I assumed it had been approved. In January 2022, when I finally had time and called the consultation manager to make an appointment for the procedure, she did not answer the phone and replied to KakaoTalk only after a long time, then told me to call the desk directly to make the booking. Before the procedure, they would call at night or during the day and kindly consult with me, and even reply to KakaoTalk in real time, but after the procedure the attitude changed completely. So I called the desk, made an appointment, and went to the hospital, and when I said, “Since this hospital already ruined my face once, I’m scared to have anything done around my face again, so I don’t want the nasolabial filler or eye-corner wrinkle Botox, I just want calf Botox. What is the maximum number of sessions possible?” the doctor suddenly got angry, said I couldn’t have more than one session, and stormed out. I got angry too and asked the consultation manager to call the person in charge of complaints at the hospital, but she said she was the person in charge and I should tell her. When I said, “Other clinics are running events for calf Botox for 30,000 to 50,000 won, and last time the doctor said he would provide three services: nasolabial filler, eye-corner wrinkle Botox, and calf Botox. If I’m not getting the nasolabial filler and eye-corner wrinkle Botox, shouldn’t you naturally increase the number of calf Botox sessions?” she said the doctor never said he would do calf Botox last time. Then I said, “Shouldn’t you have contacted me at the time and told me the doctor said calf Botox wasn’t possible? Since there was no follow-up, I naturally thought the doctor had approved calf Botox too. Then there’s nothing else to say, just ask the doctor how many calf Botox sessions are possible at most,” and she said she would check because the doctor was in surgery and call me back, so I left the hospital for the time being. A few days later, the consultation manager called and said, “The doctor says calf Botox isn’t allowed even once now, and he can’t see you for treatment anymore,” then kept talking only about her own side of things and abruptly hung up. You spend more than 1 million won, get procedures done at this hospital, ruin your face in the pain of sedation, and then they say they will refuse future treatment... Have you ever seen such an irresponsible hospital? And this doctor kept changing his story: in September 2021 he himself looked at the before-and-after photos and admitted it, saying refunds weren’t possible but he’d provide various services, and now he says even one calf Botox session is not allowed. You absolutely have to record everything when you go to this hospital. Both the doctor and the consultation manager keep changing what they say. In short, this is not a hospital. Doctors and consultation managers are not gods, so they can make mistakes. But if they gave the patient a bad outcome, shouldn’t they at least try to fix it? This place is worse than a shop that just sells goods. Everyone needs to know about a hospital like this. I spent money and had procedures done to look younger, but the result made me look older, which caused a lot of damage, and I was willing to let it go because they said they would provide service procedures. But with the hospital coming at me like this, I can’t take it anymore, and I’m posting this in the hope that there won’t be any more victims like me.
