I have a very masculine forehead, and every time people around me or someone I consulted with saw it, they said if I were going to fix it, the forehead should come first. My frontal sinus bone is relatively thin, so shaving alone wouldn’t be enough and it would need to be pushed inward, which I understood as a surgery not done in Korea, so I planned to have it done overseas later. But by chance I found out that ㅋㅇㅇㅌ was doing this surgery domestically, so I took vacation and had brow bone reduction + eye-hole reduction + forehead lift + forehead volume augmentation this time. 1. Swelling lasts quite a long time They said I was someone who bleeds a lot, but even though I had literally no bruising at all, I still had big swelling, especially around the eyes, for more than two weeks. The website says daily life is possible after 2 days, but that would probably take a lot of courage. 2. The impression changes a lot Usually I thought nose and eye surgeries change your impression a lot, while contouring surgery doesn’t bring obvious changes, so I assumed the forehead would be the same, but it changes your impression a lot. People around you all notice that something has changed. It’s hard to make it blend in as if you didn’t have surgery. 3. It seems like there is some drooping around the eyes I had a forehead lift, so the fine forehead wrinkles are almost gone, but maybe because they reduced the eye socket area a lot, there seems to be a bit of drooping of the eyelid skin at the reduced area. This doesn’t go away even with the forehead lift. It might be swelling, but if it still doesn’t go away, I think I’ll need some eyelid fat removal when I do revision double-eyelid surgery later. 4. Uneven bumps can appear I asked for a safety-first surgery, so I don’t have this problem yet, but if you ask them to shave a lot and push in a lot, there can be nonunion/delayed union in the frontal sinus area of the forehead and bumps can form. They say they’ll do PRP injections or fat grafting if problems occur, but I don’t know how helpful that would be. From what I know, most forehead surgeries in Korea are fat grafting or implants, but if the brow bone is protruding a lot, I think shaving it down is more appropriate than putting something in. I’m satisfied with the result itself.
