I had the corner-of-the-mouth surgery 8 years ago, back when it wasn’t as well known as it is now. It was so long ago that my memory is fuzzy, but the doctor recommended corner-of-the-mouth lift + lateral lift? surgery, and I am satisfied with the results. I did think I wanted them lifted a little more, but I think they did a good job making it look natural! I remember the aftercare being fine too.
