This is a clinic famous for autologous costal cartilage surgery. It was my first nose surgery, and because I was scared of complications I decided on autologous rib cartilage. It’s been 4 years since surgery, and I have no discomfort or complications. It just feels like my nose. The reason I’m not fully satisfied is the shape. I had a slight hump and a bulbous nose, so they used rib graft material for the bridge of my nose and pieces of rib cartilage at the tip. I was quite satisfied right after surgery, but contrary to the explanation before surgery that it wouldn’t be absorbed much, the height became lower than immediately after surgery and the shape of the bridge didn’t improve compared with before surgery. Of course, it’s not like the shape is weird. Compared with before surgery, it’s better, but the shape is definitely less pretty than if it had been done with silicone. I wouldn’t recommend it as a first surgery, and it seems more suited to people with inflammation or contracture. And the paranasal augmentation... there’s no noticeable difference, to the point I can’t tell whether it was even done. The doctors and staff are kind during consultations. But after surgery the doctors seem too busy, and the staff are not exactly rude, but they are clearly different from before surgery. Anyway, I’m dissatisfied with the shape, so I’m looking into revision surgery!! But maybe that’s just an unavoidable tradeoff if you want safety(?) because I haven’t had any inflammation!! I hope you think it through carefully.
