I had buried double eyelid surgery done here. The reason I chose this place after going to other clinics was, honestly, the price and because it was buried. Other places were either incision + eye correction + upper canthoplasty, or non-incision + eye correction + upper canthoplasty (upper canthoplasty was optional). Since I heard that with a lot of add-ons the price was around 1.7 million won... I got permission from my dad and was using his money, so I thought it was way too expensive. Of course my friends had theirs done at that price range too, but... thinking that I was the one who would have to pay later somehow made me feel sorry toward my dad. Ah, the introduction is way too long. So I asked them to make it as round as possible with an in-out line. And I told them I didn’t want the front part of the eyes to be buried in the line like an in-line shape. During the first consultation, they said, “Ah, yes, that can be done! Of course it’s possible with buried sutures, yes, it can be done, of course, yes! Your eyes are torn outward, so you probably don’t need canthoplasty.” When someone praises your face and says everything is completely possible, it feels so good. So I ended up leaving without even asking what I had planned to ask. Since they kept saying everything could be done, I was like, “Ah.. haha, really?” and then just went, “Ah, okay okay,” and got talked into it like a pushover and left a deposit right away. But maybe it’s just me, but after the consultation, once I paid the deposit, it felt awkward not to go through with it, so I thought I might as well do it there. Then when I got home, I wondered if I’d paid for nothing, and thinking about maybe not getting the money back later suddenly made me regret it so much. You know that feeling, right.. Is it just me? T_T I was like that a lot. It’s even a hospital famous for not handling aftercare lol. I felt like I was screwed, so I really called right away to cancel. I am seriously so easily swayed, a ridiculously easily swayed person. Instead of getting fat grafting in my eyes, I need ear fat grafting at this point... Anyway, when I called, they said, “Ah~ yes, the consultation manager is in another consultation right now, so I’ll tell her to contact you after she’s done.” So what could I do. So I waited, but no one contacted me all day, and all that time I was thinking, What if I can’t get the deposit back? I wanted to write this briefly because I was lazy, but it got long.. Let me say the ending first: I really want to recommend that you do not get it done here. I’m going to write about what I felt while getting it done here. It doesn’t seem like mine turned out well either. It’s an eye that could have turned out well, but it feels like it would have come out about the same even if I had just gone to an eye clinic and had surgery there lol. I’m suddenly irritated. If this hospital is on your list, please take it off right now. If you already made a reservation, you can go ahead and try, I guess. If it turns out well, then it turns out well, but if it doesn’t, I think this is really a hospital that does not do aftercare. Mine didn’t completely fail, so it wasn’t terrible. No, damn it, honestly it was bad. What kind of hospital doesn’t do aftercare, seriously.. Anyway, I said this first for people who care most about the conclusion. (I just came to read reviews because I wanted to lurk, but they said I have to write reviews for three hospitals to see other people’s reviews, so that’s why I’m writing this -3-) So I waited for them to contact me. But they still didn’t, so the next day around 4 o’clock I called and said, I’m the person who called to cancel my reservation. I said, I’ll consult with the director again! They asked for my phone number and a few other things, then said, Oh, so you’re the one registered as surgery canceled. I was seriously speechless. Did they have time to register the cancellation but not time to contact me? Anyway, I made an appointment for the very next day and went in. I told them to fix the line again and asked about aftercare, but they just brushed it off. Anyone who has worked a lot of part-time jobs can probably feel it: they were just annoyed and said, “Ah yes, it’ll be fine! If it loosens or something within about six months to a year, we’ll do it again.” At that moment I seriously thought about not doing it. But going around looking for another hospital is really a hassle, and honestly this place was the cheapest, so I decided to go through with it. I don’t even know how many times my mind went back and forth. I almost wanted to just stand up and say, I’m not doing it here after all, give me back my deposit. But they kept saying it would turn out well, and I kept thinking, well, these days most double-eyelid surgeries are decent enough, so it should be okay. At the same time I was terrified that I’d be the unlucky case that fails T_T Somehow it became surgery day, and I went alone to get it done. They kept me waiting a really long time in the consultation room, and when they came in to mark the line, I really didn’t like it. Anyway, after they marked the line and the director left, I looked in the mirror by myself and drew the line again and it was terrible. So I asked to have the line adjusted again, and the director came back up. I was sorry, but this could become the eye I have for the rest of my life, so I thought it was really not okay to be annoyed about it. I tried to be bold but still polite, asked to have the line adjusted again, and they went back down. And I went to the operating room with a different manager, not the one I had consulted with. I never saw the consultation manager again after the day of consultation lol. Feels kind of off.. I don’t know which floor it was. My heart was pounding so hard I went up without thinking at all. While walking down the hallway, I heard a lot of shouting from one room. I guess those were the people having surgery talking loudly. Then I lay down, got the anesthesia shot, woke up, and went to the recovery room. The recovery room staff weren’t that kind either. I was curious, so I picked up the mirror inside the room and looked, but they took it from my hand and put it back where it was.. Couldn’t I use it for a second? It was just one of those small mirrors you place on a desk when doing regular makeup.. It really left a bad feeling. Then when I went home and looked in the mirror, the line was different and the height was different too. I felt screwed. Still, I kept trying to rationalize it by myself. I really felt like crying, but I couldn’t because I was afraid the swelling would get worse, and that’s how I got through it. Around day 4, maybe? The line was still different and the height was still different, and once I faced reality I regretted it like crazy. Why did this happen to me? If I was worried, why did I even do it at that hospital? Why didn’t I cancel? What is money, anyway? I should have gone somewhere else and paid more if necessary.. I regretted it so much.. Since I had the surgery on July 8, it’s been about 10 days now.. I’m just living with it. Still, I keep thinking as long as it doesn’t loosen. It’s better to have double eyelids than none at all, and if they’re uneven, well... if someone sees me for the first time, they’ll probably just think, oh, they’re uneven, so they probably didn’t get surgery, right? I’m just rationalizing everything like crazy. I’m just avoiding stress. Lastly, about aftercare: I really think this is a hospital that doesn’t do it. The rumors online aren’t there for nothing. When I sent photos saying my eyes were uneven and the line and height were different, they didn’t read my KakaoTalk for two days. Before, they used to send messages like, “Yes~^^ Please check the surgery date and come in!^^” But the message they sent then was just, “Please come back after 30 days.” Seriously, look at that attitude... Never do it here. Absolutely not, absolutely not, please. If someone around me were going to do it here, I would stop them so hard, I’d rather even go around looking for hospitals with them! I tried to write it moderately, but my frustration just burst out. I wrote 5,438 characters, they say lol. It’s way longer than writing a self-introduction or a school essay lololol When you’re angry and wronged, words just keep pouring out, right? Maybe that’s why. I’m okay now. Not bad. Today I dreamed that my eyes had loosened, so I had completely monolids and scars from the surgery, and I was shocked looking in the bathroom mirror. I hope they don’t loosen!! Rather than my skin under the eyes sagging, please let me keep these eyes exactly like this for the rest of my life!! If they loosen, I’ll have to look again... It was my first surgery, but I’m trying not to regret it, and I haven’t seen my friends yet, so I’m scared of their reactions,, Haha, now I’m really finishing. Bye, poof.
