I went because I was wondering if I could get one-sided canthoplasty for my asymmetrical eyes. This seems like a clinic specializing in breast surgery, but they were running a pretty cheap event on Babitalk, and after reading reviews from a doctor who specializes in eyes, it looked like they had skill since the canthoplasty wasn’t a D-shape and the post-op conjunctival edema also seemed mild. The clinic interior was luxurious, but also kind of... somehow... like a karaoke room. I waited in some weird treatment room that didn’t feel like a normal consultation room. Then the doctor came in quickly, looking very imposing, and I was surprised at how young he was. When I told him my concern, he looked seriously at my eyes and adjusted my double-eyelid line about 30 times, then kept lifting and lowering my epicanthic fold over and over. Then he said that even if he fixed the asymmetry, it wouldn’t be some total transformation and it would still just be my face. I told him I knew that, but my personal stress was that the asymmetry stands out when I take photos, and he said then we should just do a slight lower canthoplasty. He said that if other surgeries were added, the drawbacks would outweigh the benefits. The price was so low it seemed like it might not even cover anesthesia, and the consultation with the doctor was detailed. Just from the doctor consultation alone, he seemed pretty conservative and safety-oriented, so I trusted him.
