Today (May 18) I came in for the one-month follow-up and I'm making this correction. The strength of opening my left and right eyes is different, so when I went to remove the stitches (one week follow-up visit) I said they looked uneven, and they said the level of unevenness wasn't something surgery could correct. They showed me another person's photos where the swelling was uneven like mine They explained that the swelling comes down unevenly. They then showed photos from that person after two or three months. Of course the swelling had gone down because time had passed. The thickness of the double eyelid on my left and right eyes is uneven. They said if there's anything I don't like or any problem after two or three months I should come in and adjust it. I regret that it couldn't be completed with the first surgery. I tried to improve the issues at this hospital as much as possible, but I've changed my mind. I'm planning to look into revision at another hospital. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Was it in 2017? I didn't want my eyelids to cover the double-eyelid line, but I didn't want double-eyelid surgery either So after a consultation I had forehead lift + upper canthoplasty. But because I only did upper canthoplasty, the Mongolian fold became worse in a hook shape. And I developed a hollow upper eyelid, so the double eyelid got covered more and it became harder to open my eyes. When I went to Only Eye for a consultation, they said lower canthoplasty would improve it, but since they couldn't make it definitely wider, it seemed like they had done upper canthoplasty instead. They said lower canthoplasty would definitely make it look more open. The hollowing was worse on the left, and they said if the asymmetry bothers me, I should get fat grafting. But after the surgery, the left side was actually easier to open and the line looked prettier. I should have removed fat from the right side.. Anyway, on the day of surgery I met the doctor and went in for surgery, but I was already lying on the operating table when he said that lower canthoplasty would improve the hook shape, but it wouldn't disappear completely and a little would remain. ??? During the consultation he said it would open things up nicely and drew the expected result for me, but he said that only after I was already lying down; If he'd told me before the surgery, I would have thought about it more .. I was like, huh? but I was already lying there and everything was ready for surgery, so I just stayed quiet and had the operation. After surgery there was really almost no swelling at all (and I'm someone who swells easily), My mom was shocked too when she saw it, asking how there could be so little swelling.. I like the line, and because the swelling is uneven I can't tell what the more swollen right side will look like. The doctor doesn't recommend a lot of different procedures, He only recommends the parts that are clearly troublesome. He also seems to prefer natural-looking lines. If you want a glamorous line, this place isn't right for you. I said I wanted a semi-out, but he made it almost in-out. Once the swelling goes down, it'll probably just be an in.. And the amount of the iris visible in my left and right eyes is uneven too, but they didn't point that out during the consultation. (I thought that if I got double eyelids, the stretched skin would naturally be tidied up and the asymmetry would improve, so I didn't ask about it during the consultation.. Even small things, please be sure to ask..ㅠ) If only they had told me these small things first.. I feel a bit disappointed I still need to wait for the swelling to go down, but I'm thinking of getting revision on the right side. What I want is maybe a little fat removal and some eye correction?? But somehow I don't think they'll do fat removal ㅎㅎ Still, I want to get revision here instead of going somewhere else.
