I had double buried sutures + epicanthoplasty 10 years ago (my right eye was operated on twice, but it has now come undone). Consultation date: Friday, June 30 Consulted area: double eyelid revision Consultation order: manager -> doctor -> manager Recommended surgery: incision ▶ The right eye is more sunken than the left, so even if incision is done there is a chance it could come undone, and they advised against natural adhesion ㅎㅎ I just said I wanted no further revision surgery in the future, whether natural adhesion or incision! Recommended line: in-out + semi-out at the inner side ▶ Since the front part of the right eye is lifted, if the height is lowered to match the left eye, the overall line could get covered, so they said it would be better to combine two lines. I really liked that they didn’t just give me one simple line, but tailored the line to my current condition, and it seemed much more professional! Consultation review: 1. Very short waiting time! I arrived 10 to 15 minutes before the appointment time, and after about 5 minutes I filled out the chart and took photos, then had a brief consultation with the manager before meeting the doctor. It only took about 15 minutes, so I never got bored ㅋㅋㅋ 2. Doctor consultation: about 20 minutes They explained in detail the reasons for the recommended surgery and line, so it was easy to understand and totally convincing. At first they drew three line options and asked me which number I liked, and then from the line I chose, they drew two more with slightly different heights so I could see different impressions. They showed me about five overall, and while talking they drew and explained a few more times, so I could really see which line didn’t suit me and which one was perfect. And the biggest advantage was that there was no pushy bundling of extra procedures! When they asked if I had any desire for canthoplasty or eye-correction, I said I didn’t really, and they told me my eye-opening muscles were good and there was no need to widen anything separately, so I shouldn’t do it. That made me trust them even more... 3. Manager consultation Before meeting the doctor, I had a brief consultation about my previous surgery history, preferred line, and preferred surgical method, and after the doctor consultation, I had another 10 minutes of follow-up counseling about the doctor’s explanation, the price, and other questions. They never mentioned a deposit separately, and just checked whether I had any planned schedule. Later they also wrote up the consultation content briefly and sent it on KakaoTalk, so it was nice that important things were left on record! Overall, the hospital is small, but the doctor never seemed rushed or annoyed by questions, and I think the first consultation was a success, so I’m satisfied. The only thing I’m a little disappointed about is that they use local anesthesia plus a small amount of sedation, the doctor does it personally, and if it isn’t general anesthesia, there isn’t an anesthesiology specialist on site...?ㅜㅜ
