I had surgery the day before yesterday. On sites like Babitalk there are tons of posts saying the doctors and nurses are kind, but honestly that was not the vibe here. While preparing for surgery, they were laughing, joking, and fooling around among themselves in front of the patient... I was nervous, so I really hated that. And it really was the kind of place where they finish one person's surgery and immediately bring in the next, so when I went in, the area on the operating table where you lie down seemed to have some disinfectant...? left on it, which felt unhygienic. The consultation manager was really, really kind and explained things well. 90% of my decision to go through with the surgery was because of the consultation manager. But seeing those things on the day of surgery did shake my trust a bit. I'm an international student and had to leave the country right away, so I had planned my surgery schedule very tightly. During the consultation they said that once the swelling on the inner and outer corners went down I could do it right away (when I asked if it would be possible after a month, they gave an ambiguous answer ㅠㅠ), so I was thinking of doing the inner corner first and the outer corner plus corner lift a month later, but on the day of surgery they said it would be at least 3 to 6 months, so the schedule was ruined ㅠㅠ. Until the day before surgery I had 100% trust, but on the day of surgery all kinds of things made me really annoyed. I asked them to reduce it as much as possible, but since I already had a triangular mouth, they said they could reduce it by 4 mm, but then it would be too short and make the triangular mouth/lips worse. Originally I was planning to do the outer corner right away even if it got that bad, and then leave the country, but that made my thoughts a complete mess here.. I don't even know exactly how it becomes a triangular mouth, and I couldn't stay abroad in that state.. So right before the procedure I changed it to 3.5 mm, and I regret it... When I look at other people, even after reducing by 5 mm it seems to get longer again after a few months, so I'm freaking out worried it might get longer again for me too.. I'm scared the effect will disappear once the swelling goes down, and I'm so stressed. And it's way, way more painful than I expected... I hope people know this. Personally, among all the surgeries I've had, the pain ranks at the very top. It may vary from person to person, butㅠ Please think carefully before doing it. It's expensive tooㅠㅠ After the surgery, for some reason I feel even more uncomfortable in my mind. For now, while the swelling is present, I like the shape and I'm satisfied. + A little over 2 months later First of all, the difference before and after is huge, and the nose, which I didn't expect much from, has a high level of satisfaction. My mouth still doesn't close properly and it feels unnatural, but that actually makes me look younger so I like it. Overall my appearance feels really organized... I don't regret the surgery! But I do wish I'd reduced it moreㅠ + More than 6 months later My philtrum has definitely gotten longer, and though it's better than before, it's still disappointing. The tip of my nose has all drooped, and because there is no flesh under the nose and chin, snot literally just drips straight down... As other people said, the hospital is also very unfriendly and it feels like I just wasted my money. I'll get revision surgery..
