I think they make it look natural. Making the reservation wasn’t difficult, and while I was under sleep anesthesia I briefly woke up in the middle, but they put me back to sleep. We didn’t really discuss the design in detail; they just propped my nose up with a cotton swab to see how it might change, explained the surgery method, and then did the surgery. I think being able to consult directly with the doctor is a big advantage. They also pointed out asymmetry that I didn’t even know I had and did osteotomy.
