This hospital is kind of a weird one.. It's professional and detailed, but it has a subtle factory-like feel. In particular, the consultation order goes manager, surgeon, manager, and I was caught off guard by the final manager consultation where they adjusted everything. Of course, at any hospital, if I fit my schedule to an empty surgery slot, I get a discount. That's not strange, but it feels a bit forced? For example, I had decided not to have surgery right away because I had a one-night weekend trip planned. But during the consultation they suggested I could have surgery on a weekday and still go on the trip on the weekend, and that I could just tell the friend traveling with me that I had gotten a lipolysis injection and was wearing compression garments(?). It really felt like they wanted to stuff patients into empty slots and lock things in quickly, rather than considering my condition or situation.
