They told me that because I have a high muscle ratio, an arm bone contouring surgery wasn’t possible. Still, my arm fat was so stressful that I decided to have surgery, and while my arms aren’t thin, they’re now at a level that doesn’t greatly ruin my overall body proportions. The scars are somewhat noticeable, but the big advantage is that I don’t have to wear compression garments. My biggest concern was shadow doctors, but at least from what I felt, there were no suspicious signs. During the process, while taking pre-op photos, I had an unpleasant experience because a staff member said things like, “How much did you weigh at your heaviest?”, “Your skin has no elasticity,” and “Get trapezius Botox.” When I was already psychologically self-conscious because I was exposed, being body-shamed on top of that made me feel really bad. They were kind like an aunt I knew, but I’m sharing this experience as a reference.
