They examined me directly without a CT scan. The clinic wasn't very large, and it didn't feel especially brand-new. First of all, I have a low, short upturned nose. The doctor himself really seems to pursue naturalness. He talked at length about the shortcomings of my nose and said it's absolutely not a nose that can be made too much. He said the nostrils can't be hidden. He said that if I think of it as just a way to improve a small complex, then surgery is worth doing, but otherwise it would be better not to. He said he would use silicone for the bridge and only septal cartilage for the tip, so I asked about ear cartilage too, but he firmly said he hardly ever uses ear cartilage. He said that if, on the day of surgery, he opens the septum and it really has so little usable cartilage that it's basically impossible to use, then he would use ear cartilage, but he's never had that happen. I went in for nose consultation, but suddenly he examined my double eyelid line and said the inner corners of my eyes are drooping, and if they droop more as I get older, I would need an incision, so it would be better to do just a slight pinch now. He said that lightly pinching the eyes and doing the nose naturally would probably be the best, and that I should let go of my greed. It really felt like he was telling me the worst-case scenario. Well, asking about another surgery on the eyes could feel like sales pressure or upselling? At every place I went for nose consultation, they would subtly ask, like, 'By the way... eyes...?? You're not thinking about those, right..??' But since I firmly said I wasn't thinking about it at all, everyone would end with an awkward 'oh...' and the conversation would end on a weird note. So I was a bit curious about the reason, but I didn't ask. Here, he just told me the reason and said to think about it once, so it didn't feel like sales at all. And in reality, if I don't use a curler, my eyelashes are visible in my normal field of vision, and when I do use a curler, because of the sagging skin at the inner corners, my lashes don't all lift and my eyes become triangular... But my eyes themselves weren't small, and I liked my eye shape, so I had been living without any intention of doing anything for fear of ruining them. A friend of mine had her eyes and nose done here and they turned out really natural, and since this is a one-doctor clinic run by a female doctor, I already made a reservation here for now. But somehow the nose seems too natural and the eyes seem like they might stand out a bit, so I'm still debating...
