I had the surgery in January 2011, so it's been over 10 years now. Seeing people around me who had surgery and thought it looked pretty good, I just went for a consultation, set a date, and had the surgery right away without shopping around. At the time I didn't know much about double eyelid surgery, and I just thought it would be fine as long as I didn't end up with sausage eyes. After the surgery, I was kind of satisfied because it didn't look overly obvious. Now, 10 years later, I realize I hadn't noticed before, but the inner canthoplasty and the line thickness seem uneven, and my satisfaction has gone down, so I'm looking into revision surgery. Still, for 10 years I didn't think it was particularly bad and lived well enough.
