To describe the doctor in one word... conviction? He seemed to have conviction and confidence in his own skill and surgery. He is the type to clearly say whether something can or cannot be done, so if you tend to feel confused during consultations or need certainty, it might be good to go. The consultation manager was the kindest one I have met among all the consultation managers I've seen.
