The facility is clean and the consultation coordinator is kind, but the director felt a bit cold to me. Even if they were cold, I’d still want them to do the surgery well, but after the consultation I ended up feeling less trust because they casually said things that were actually quite worrying. They said that for an open procedure, the anesthesia is the same medicine used for upper endoscopy, so you can feel the surgery. That part bothered me too. Even if it doesn’t hurt, if I can feel them cutting open my nose, taking out the implant, and stitching me up, I think I’d be terrified. I really want to find a clinic that can remove it safely and without side effects. Most people who go for revision or removal consultations already have issues and are hurt, but it seems like some doctors are not interested at all in the patient’s worries or difficulties.
