오블리 — Review

I’m the person who had surgery on 1/2 and posted a review afterward, and today I went in for my three-month follow-up consultation. I came back here and saw that my review was at the top as a best review, so I’m posting it again in case my reviews help someone~ First, if you look at the review from that time, I wrote that before discharge on the day of surgery, while looking at the design consultation for my operated nose, I was very satisfied. Even now, three months later, I’m still doing very~~ well and feeling very satisfied. In fact, compared with the swollen, puffy state on day 8, it has become more natural and stayed straight and refined, so every day when I look in the mirror, I feel good. People around me all say the nose turned out so well. My boyfriend has high standards too, but he says the side line of my nose is artistic and that it turned out so well; all the worries he had disappeared, and he likes it even more than I do ㅋㅋㅋㅎ I was originally the type who didn’t swell much and who de-swells quickly, so I didn’t really do much management and just stayed home. But by around day 8, most of the major swelling had gone down, and the doctor even said my swelling had gone down to about the level of an average patient at the 3-week mark. So from the 1-month mark onward, there wasn’t much difference from how I look now at 3 months, and the shape had already settled early, so I was able to go through recovery without anxiety. (I think a big reason is that this wasn’t a huge reconstruction, but a simple procedure with minimal materials, no implants, and no osteotomy, and also because the surgery was done so carefully that recovery finished even faster ㅋㅋㅋ) Still, in the very beginning, even my philtrum and around my eyes were swollen, and my nose was a bit too high. But as time passed, the swelling naturally went down and things settled to a certain extent, the tip lowered just a little, and as the dermis in the bridge was absorbed, the bridge that had looked sharply projected like an implant now clearly became a soft, natural line that looks like my own nose. There was a brief period when I worried it might become too natural here, but thankfully even as more time passed, the shape didn’t change any further from there. The key point is that it became natural right up to a proper limit, and they really do create a very natural line. I’m glad, and honestly, as the minor swelling also went down and the hump was refined less aggressively, doing it safely and naturally without an implant feels like the absolutely right choice. If you’re the type who wants too much or has huge expectations, it’s better to lower them a little. I’m the type who clearly doesn’t like a nose that looks obviously operated on, artificial, obviously done, flashy, and the like, so no-implant surgery was the best choice for me.. My eyebrows were thick to begin with, and if my nose had been made any higher I would have started to look more masculine, so instead of wanting a nose that just looks pretty on its own, I wanted the most natural nose that would suit my features, and I told the doctor exactly that. I also brought photos and preparation materials really well. (The doctor kindly explains everything in detail, but it’s essential that you also research carefully yourself, including what kind of nose suits your own face and what kind does not..! You need to be self-aware and understand your own face well.) As I wrote in my earlier review, my skin is thin and I originally had some bridge height already. But I had a hump, and the tip was very low, so it was exactly that kind of nose with a sort of droopy, cutesy look from the side. But wherever I went, I was told it wasn’t a particularly difficult nose, and I didn’t really have much stress from the front. Still, the side profile needed improvement, and at another hospital I was diagnosed with a fleshy nose and a droopy nose, but all my eyes, nose, and mouth are fairly large together, so if only the nose became too slim it would look funny, which is why I didn’t really need osteotomy or correction for a fleshy nose. Doctor Obli also told me I didn’t have a droopy nose or fleshy nose. I cared about proportion and harmony, and I didn’t want just a slim nose, so I asked them to make it fit my features. They diagnosed me for the minimum necessary procedure only: no-implant surgery, reduced the hump, and used ear cartilage and septal cartilage for the tip with the minimum materials. Before that, even after searching through reviews, I felt they don’t seem to do surgery with other materials like rib cartilage very often. Osteotomy was said to be optional, but I had been firmly against doing osteotomy, so it wasn’t included. For people exactly like me, with a hump nose or a nose that needs side-profile improvement, who like the distinctive nose line and bridge line that Doctor Obli creates, and who like a natural, safe line, I think this is a hospital they would be very satisfied with. That said, because the doctor prioritizes safety and naturalness with ear cartilage and no-implant surgery, I’m not sure about people with difficult revision noses that need high-difficulty rib cartilage, or people who want a very flashy, very high, strongly done nose because they have a fleshy nose.. If I had wanted a strongly done nose, I think I would have hesitated a bit about this hospital. The line itself is completely my taste, and people who like it will really like it. It is genuinely pretty. But it becomes a naturally refined bridge, not an extremely flashy, dramatically high one. I know this is a hospital with somewhat mixed opinions, but I strongly recommend it for people like me who pursue extreme naturalness and safety. At a glance, the front looks very natural, like you did something but also didn’t, and the side profile became truly beautiful, but it doesn’t feel like it became someone else’s face or that it became artificially pretty or obviously pretty; it rose in a way that feels like me, but naturally prettier? Like something is different? From the front it feels natural, and from the side it feels like natural plus flashy? That’s my personal opinion! Even after surgery, I was able to go about daily life well and didn’t do much management, just took a few swelling pills and tried to walk for 30 minutes when I remembered. I just lived carefully so I wouldn’t bump my nose, and the swelling went down well. I didn’t experience any side effects at all, such as inflammation, ear deformity, tissue dents, discoloration, or cartilage show-through, and recovery went smoothly without any major issues. Also, the doctor is truly honest and realistic, and says clearly what can and can’t be done. That’s their personality; they don’t make empty polite statements. They seem to think about the patient’s future as well, so even if a patient insists and demands something excessive like making it super high and flashy right away because they want it now, they apparently don’t accept that kind of excessive request to begin with, because even if it satisfies the patient at the moment, over time problems will eventually appear, starting with cartilage show-through. They don’t like that kind of thing. I liked that Obli especially avoids surgeries that are obviously going to cause problems later. Personally, I think a doctor who draws a line and says no when something isn’t right, while considering the patient’s future, is more conscientious and trustworthy than a doctor who says yes to everything and agrees to do it all. Oh, and they also don’t say unnecessary things, and they’re the type to be concise and clear and say only what needs to be said. Anyway, um.. I wonder if there’s more to say~ Ahㅎ and I originally had some facial asymmetry, so before surgery the doctor told me in advance that if the nose became higher after surgery, the crooked appearance could become a little more noticeable, and the uneven nostrils could also stand out more, so I needed to accept that limitation beforehand. (I received the same explanation at other hospitals too.) Now when I look in the mirror, unless I stare closely enough to inspect whether the nose is crooked or whether the nostrils are uneven, it’s barely noticeable at all, and they really minimized the side effects I was worried I would have to accept. I was touched ㅠㅠ They also refined the hump beautifully, and from below, from the side, or from anywhere I look at it, I like it. The doctor kept telling me it was because my tissue quality was good and because I was originally pretty, and was so kind about it that both sides felt good and the consultation was warm and pleasant; it was really nice. I do have rhinitis, but it’s only very mild, so it doesn’t bother me, so I only did an aesthetic nose job and I currently don’t have nasal congestion. After about a month, the congestion from surgery completely cleared up. The doctor, the office manager, and the nurses who removed my stitches and took care of me were all still very kind when I saw them today. In addition, during today’s follow-up consultation, I also asked about something recent that looked like pigmentation around my nose when I looked closely. It turned out that what I thought had appeared after surgery was actually pigmentation I already had before surgery, according to the pre-op photos. So even though I was just going to leave, the doctor went ahead and did a pigmentation laser treatment for me. They treated the whole area around the nose and the entire face too, and even removed an extra mole for me ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Thank you.. I also got skin soothing care with a sheet mask in the recovery room ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ just great The hospital interior is also always so clean whenever I see it, the care is great, and it just perfectly matches my personality.. like my lifelong dream hospital level. And something I always feel during every consultation is that the doctor seems to have a perfectionist personality and very high standards. When I was looking them up on YouTube, I even saw a video where another doctor from their same training class? said that doctor was a perfectionist. I’m also a perfectionist, so I can’t stand even a little bit of uncertainty or curiosity, and I bombard people with questions and get anxious until surgery. If you’re also the type who worries a lot and is a perfectionist, I recommend Obli even more. After surgery too, during the design consultation, even when I didn’t ask everything myself, they proactively explained more on their own, resolved all my questions and concerns, and just hearing them talk made me feel that they had also been meticulous during surgery, which fit my personality exactly.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’m very sensitive, suspicious, ask a lot of questions, can’t stand unanswered curiosity, and I need things to be perfect. Even if I throw a barrage of questions, they answer everything kindly and slowly, and honestly, when I went to consult at other hospitals, there were some doctors who gave the feeling that they needed to get into surgery quickly and wanted to end the consultation fast, answering vaguely and moving on. I don’t think I ever felt that with the Obli doctor. They accept all the conversationㅎㅎ This got long as I wrote it, but first, I’m not a broker, and I also posted proof of payment, but if I’m ever exposed as a broker someday, I’ll cut out my internal organs^^.. I’m writing this because I’m so happy and also in case it helps someone! I had surgery at the listed price, and I didn’t receive anything in return for writing a review like this, but getting such a successful nose really feels like compensation for the hard times I went through while researching hospitals up until now, and every time I look in the mirror I feel good, and I’m also so grateful to the doctor that I’m posting this sincere review ㅋㅋㅋ I don’t know how others will feel, but please just take this as one of the reviews from a successful case. Everyone’s nose is different, and nobody knows exactly how it will turn out, and some people may feel differently. It’s simply my subjective account! If you want a natural line like I wrote above, I recommend Obli ㅎㅎ To wrap up, they said the nose shape is basically finished at the current 3-month mark, but I’ll keep watching it until 6 months and post another review later~^^
