I got Botox because the fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes were bothering me. A lot of people around me get it, so I thought it wasn't a big deal, but when it was actually time to do it, I got a little worried about whether my facial expressions would stiffen. During the consultation, they told me which areas and how much would be injected, and when I said the goal was to keep it natural, they adjusted it that way. The procedure finished really quickly, there was a stinging sensation, but it was barely enough to call pain. It didn't change anything right away after the injection, and they said it would take a few days to show effect, which was a little frustrating. After a week, the forehead area felt like the movement had become a bit dull, and rather than the wrinkles being completely smoothed out, it just felt like they folded less. If I had expected dramatic changes, I would have been disappointed, but once I thought of it as something to maintain a natural look, it made sense. The retention period isn't very long, which is a bit disappointing, and needing to get it regularly could be a financial burden.
