I had forehead lift surgery around the summer of 2023. My original complex was that I had deep-set eyes and such thick eyelids that even eyelid tape didn’t work at all. I was deciding between an upper brow incision and a forehead lift because I wanted to make the eyelid skin itself a bit thinner. But because the distance between my eyes and eyebrows was already relatively short, I was also worried about scars left under the brows, so in the end I chose the forehead lift. Honestly, I chose the clinic pretty casually I saw the clinic’s Twitter and just decided on this place because it looked fine. I don’t remember the price exactly, but I think it was roughly around 300,000 to 350,000 yen. The surgery process is a bit hazy in my memory, but I made the reservation through LINE in Japan, and I think I had a consultation and then the surgery right away when I first visited. There were two methods for the forehead lift One was a type that pulls strongly upward, The other was a type that lifts it by a moderate amount. I wanted the strong lift, but the director said, “You’re still too young, so the moderate one is definitely better,” so I ended up doing that. Thinking about it now, I do wonder if I should have asked for a stronger lift The surgery ended faster than I expected, and when I looked in the mirror, I was basically in full lion(?) mode At that time, my eyes had been lifted just like when I simulated it by pulling upward with my hands. The downtime was, right after surgery, I felt refreshed and fine, but once I got back to the Myeongdong hotel, the dizziness and nausea were so bad that I threw up several times. It was so hard that I went back to the hospital the next day and got IV fluids. After that I was afraid I might throw up again, so I asked the interpreter several times, “What should I do if I feel nauseous again?” They said, “You won’t feel nauseous anymore.” I remember thinking to myself, ‘How can they be so sure...?’ After that, recovery went relatively smoothly, and now I can’t even really tell where the scar is. As for the result, like other people’s reviews, it does feel like it settled down a little more than expected over time. Still, before surgery my eyelids were so thick that even eyelid tape wouldn’t stick, and now I definitely feel they’ve become thinner. That said, the change itself is really quite subtle, so if you want a dramatic change, I think it’s best to choose the option with the stronger lifting effect among the two.
