At first, I think it was a bit better than I had expected and worried about. The doctor was kind, explained things well, and roughly told me through a CT scan and X-ray how much I should reduce the width. But one thing that stuck with me was how abruptly, during the consultation, he got up and left after saying, "You don't have any more questions, right?" But what was most absurd was that when I arrived, I had been told on the phone that there would be no consultation fee, yet suddenly they said I had to pay 250,000 won because I had to get both an X-ray and a CT scan. At first they asked for 50,000 won for the X-ray, and I thought maybe that could happen anyway since I was getting an exam. But then they suddenly changed their story and said that because I was a revision case, I also needed a CT scan, and that the CT alone was 200,000 won. I felt like I got robbed right there. But since I had already paid 50,000 won and had the X-ray done, and since I had also set aside time to come for the consultation, I was about to end up paying 250,000 won, and when I hesitated, they said they would discount 100,000 won, so I ended up paying 150,000 won for the exam and consultation. It did make me feel like I was being taken for a fool. They hadn't explained this from the start, and other hospitals charged at most around 30,000 to 50,000 won for both CT and X-ray, so I was a bit dumbfounded that it was 150,000 won. Still, the doctor did seem quite professional. The consultation was also fairly detailed, but in any case it's one of the places I'm considering among many hospitals.
