I had a consultation because I wanted to get jaw Botox, but I didn't consult with the doctor. The consultation was brief, and they said that not only my jaw but also my salivary glands were developed, so I got jaw and salivary gland Botox. They said something about resistance, but I wasn't going to get it often anyway, so I just got the cheapest domestic Botox. After the consultation, I basically just got the injection from the doctor and that was it. (The jaw is fine, but the salivary glands hurt...) Around the 2-week mark, when I put force into my jaw, one side stuck out like a malted candy, so I called, and they said that could happen and that it would get better over time. Of course it did go away, but it was a bit disappointing.
