I had inner canthoplasty and buried double-eyelid surgery, and the difference before and after was dramatic enough that my eyes became extremely large. They didn’t make the line too big and adjusted it to suit my eyes, but because it was done under local anesthesia, that part was pretty hard. So the bruising was severe, and the swelling lasted 5 to 6 months. Once the swelling went down, nobody could tell I had surgery, and over time the line got thinner until it completely came undone in my 10th year, so I had revision surgery at another hospital.
