I visited Ilmi Plastic Surgery. It is located right next to the station, so it is easy to find. As the reviews say, the wait is really long. On my first visit, I only had a consultation with the manager, and I could not see the doctor because they said surgery was running long and I would have to wait more than 3 hours. I came back 3 days later and had the consultation after waiting about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The doctor was just as the majority of reviews said: cheerful and cynical. I felt he was very confident in his own skill. Rather than feeling like he was adjusting to the patient, it felt more like, “This is right, this is how you should do it. Just trust me and follow me.” When I asked about the surgical method and the underlying principles, he said it is important for the doctor to know that, and the patient does not need to know. (Like a tsundere, he later explained again.) He clearly understood the problems with my eyes and suggested the appropriate surgery, which was reassuring. But I can see why people would have mixed feelings about him. Because of the hospital’s long-wait system, I did not end up making a reservation. I did not have time to discuss the price with the consultation manager, but they said it would be around the low- to mid-3 million won range.
