Perhaps because I had some fullness in my upper eyelids, my eyes looked slightly puffy and sleepy. It was my first double-eyelid surgery, so I deliberated a lot. I felt that a very prominent or obvious line would be burdensome, so I looked into an inner double-eyelid line. During the consultation, we decided to proceed together because it seemed beneficial to reduce the upper-eyelid fat as well. I was worried that the line might look too obvious after surgery, but I liked that they created it in the natural direction I wanted. Immediately after surgery, there was swelling and it looked awkward, but as it gradually subsided, my eyes looked neater than before. My upper eyelids also look less thick, and the overall impression when I open my eyes feels more refined. I did not want a dramatically different look, just improvement in the stuffy-looking aspects of my original eyes, and I am satisfied in that respect.
