I had a one-on-one consultation with the director for about 30 minutes. They showed me photos of various procedure cases and explained everything honestly. Since this was a revision, I thought an incision would be necessary, but they said that because my previous buried-suture double-eyelid surgery at an ophthalmology clinic had loosened, this was practically like a first surgery and they would charge the primary-surgery price. Perhaps because I went in the morning, I was not entirely pleased with the line they designed, but I liked the honest and thorough consultation. They explained that the method differed from my previous buried-suture surgery, but both buried-suture and incisional methods could loosen. They said incisional folds do not loosen only because they are made tighter, which also causes more scarring; if the goal is to avoid scars, the result would be the same with either method. They advised me not to spend extra money, endure a longer recovery, and put up with discomfort, but to choose buried sutures instead. They also said there was no need for ptosis correction. The consultant at the front desk was kind, which I appreciated.
