I went for a rhinoplasty consultation. The clinic atmosphere was neat and the staff’s response was unremarkable in a good way. I had made a reservation, but the waiting time was quite long, so I got a bit bored. Still, once I went in for the consultation, the doctor explained things kindly and well. I went in thinking about a closed approach, but they recommended an open approach. I could understand the recommendation itself, but there wasn’t enough specific explanation of why the open approach would be more suitable, which was a little disappointing. I wanted to hear in detail about the advantages of an open approach based on nasal structure, skin thickness, and the shape I wanted, but that explanation felt like it went by rather quickly. Overall, they were kind and the atmosphere was fine, but not hearing a clear reason for the open-approach recommendation was disappointing. The consultation itself wasn’t bad, but because it differed from the direction I wanted, I left with even more to think about.
