In my case, my nose was very low, so there was a shape limitation if I used rib cartilage alone, so he recommended silicone, and I had surgery with silicone plus autologous rib cartilage. Honestly, everyone said autologous rib cartilage was painful, so I was worried, but I was surprised that it hurt so little... I really think they did the surgery well. In my case, it barely hurt, so even on the second day after nose surgery I coughed without a problem. Other than a slight stiffness when getting up, it didn't hurt at all. And usually, before the splint comes off, people say the nose is pulled up a lot or they don't like the line, but I had none of that, the line is pretty, and they refined the columella so well.. All I want is for it to stay like this forever.. The front desk, managers, and nurses were all incredibly kind too.
