Eye Surgery review at Mabeul (마블) · 2026-02-06

It seemed like a very busy hospital. The day before my reservation, they called and asked me to come 30 minutes earlier because of the director's surgery, and when I went at that time, I ended up waiting more than 40 minutes. The chief coordinator did the first consultation, but it wasn't very detailed. They just asked which area I wanted, why, and how I wanted it done, and that was it. After that, they put a headband on me, took photos with a digital camera, and displayed them in the director's office for the consultation. I met with the director right after surgery and overall he seemed kind and very experienced. First he measured the length between my eyes and checked several lines on my eyelids before finding the best one and showing it to me. He also explained, based on my eye structure, why it had to be done that way. The line was pretty, and it was impressive that this place was the only one that did not recommend eye muscle correction. He said if I were going to do it, I should do incisional correction later... maybe because it was my first surgery, he seemed to be pushing for something natural and not making excessive recommendations? He recommended medial canthoplasty, and when I said I wanted upper canthoplasty, he told me they were the same thing and that charging separately for them was just marketing... However, because the director was busy, if I didn't ask extra questions, the consultation tended to end quickly. I was disappointed that he didn't take my hand and show me exactly how the canthoplasty would look. The estimate was 1.72 million won if I wrote a review, made a same-day reservation, and paid cash, which was on the expensive side compared to other hospitals. Maybe because they do a lot of surgeries there, they didn't push sales very hard. I do want to go back for a second consultation later.
