1. Went in to ask about cheekbones. The doctor recommended Noblcat, a cheekbone-reduction surgery alternative to cheekbones. (That was fine, OK) 2. The manager pressured me to leave a same-day reservation deposit. She said if I only came for a consultation without making a same-day reservation and didn’t go through with surgery, what would happen? (That was where I started to feel unsure.) 3. When I got home and googled Noblcat, I found reviews and follow-up results I had never heard during the consultation. (You can find them if you search Google. Tistory blog posts.) 4. So I called the next day to cancel the reservation. The surgery date was still more than a month away. But they said the reservation deposit for surgery would not be refunded because it was for the 3D printer fee. (1,000,000 won) 5. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency, but they still would not refund the 1,000,000 won for the same reason as in 4. I burned through 1.1 million won in one day including the consultation fee haha, so keep that in mind.
