I had no fat under my eyes, and at the same time the lack of fat was different on each side, so my aegyo-sal was uneven, and I did it impulsively 3 years ago. The original purpose was not to solve dark circles (they were severe), but to reduce the asymmetry in my aegyo-sal. I was told I would see some effect, but in that area I saw absolutely no effect. Even on the dark circles, I did not really feel much of a difference. I personally also had fat grafting done, but since it did not improve the hollowness under my eyes or the uneven aegyo-sal at all, I thought I had wasted my money. My friend, though, said that the surgery seemed to have affected my impression the most. I do not know which side is true.
