Even though armpit laser hair removal looks simple, I heard the pain varies depending on the machine, so I looked for a place with a machine said to hurt less. At the same time the hot laser is emitted, air also comes out, which helps spread out the pain and provides cooling. By around the second session, hair growth slowed down, and by around the fourth or fifth session, it was clearly almost gone. Now I just go once every few months for maintenance. I think this may vary from person to person. Also, as a woman, I felt a male doctor looking at... my armpits was a bit uncomfortable, so it was nice that a female doctor was assigned. When you make a reservation, you don't specifically choose the doctor; you just set the time, and women are automatically assigned a female doctor! (For reference, 5 sessions cost 49,000 won) It feels a bit like a factory-style clinic, but it seems pretty okay! But at one point I got interested in Juvelook Volume (to naturally fill in the sunken area of my forehead) and asked a desk staff member about it a little, and they said it was not recommended. Then, after looking at my face, they tried to sell me on getting upper lip hair removal too, which was a bit shocking. My upper-lip hair is not thick at all or noticeable... Oh wow, whether it's dermatology or plastic surgery, they really do pick apart women's faces.
