First of all, the biggest downside I could point to from the consultation was that it took time to book, and I had to wait about two weeks for the consultation appointment. Still, since the doctor had quite a bit of experience, I thought the facility might be old, but it was clean and nice. The doctor personally took photos with a DSLR and told me to say what I thought should be improved. If I rambled on, he would explain things like how it would be best to actually implement them, for example how many mm it should be opened by, when would be the right timing, and what similar cases there were at the time of surgery. After that, things moved toward discussing the price and surgery date with the chief manager. Personally, there were things another doctor had said couldn’t be done, but this doctor said could be done, and he seemed to have quite a lot of experience with extreme-eye cases, so I was leaning toward him. But there aren’t many surgery photo reviews on this community, and opinions seem pretty divided, so I’ve put it on hold for now. That said, just judging by the consultation, he listened slowly to everything I had to say and answered all my questions, so he seems meticulous. If possible, it looks like going in with all your questions prepared would help you get a lot out of it. I was satisfied with the consultation itself, but I’m still holding off for now.
