1. Consultation fee of 100,000 won - I think that’s over the top. 2. In the case of revision zygoma reduction, it varies by case, but it starts at 8 million won at minimum.. It’s not even a three-part contouring surgery, but one area costs as much as a maxillofacial surgery at another hospital hitting you in the face. No matter how much it’s a revision, that price is seriously excessive. At that level, the surgeon would really have to be a god. If you’re just thinking about contouring surgery? -> I think the price should be at the level where a consultation with H and Director Baek is basically mandatory. Especially for cases that don’t need reconstruction, you don’t even need the 3D printer that H has, so why on earth is the price so high? 3. No matter how I think about it, it’s an outdated high-price policy.. Of course, there’s the saying that if you don’t know better, buy the expensive one. As people who have looked into surgery know, the information on H Plastic Surgery and Director Baek Jeong-hwan is far lacking compared with other hospitals.. The hospital also opened in 2014, I think? so the longest postoperative follow-up for surgical patients is only about 7 years.. I understand the mechanism of maintaining a high-price policy through equipment and the resulting differences in surgery, but whether there really is that much of a difference? is questionable. I looked it up and, out of nowhere, there are only controversies involving another hospital’s director.. No matter how much they keep saying equipment, equipment, I think truly skilled surgeons would still do well even without it. Most doctors who operate well can do fine even without equipment like the kind H Plastic Surgery uses.. If the equipment used at H Plastic Surgery is that important and determines whether the surgery succeeds or fails, then I think there’s no reason hospitals wouldn’t rush to equip themselves with it.. If the only thing this hospital can brag about is equipment, and that is the reason for the high-price policy, then I’d go somewhere else.. Especially the posts raising issues about the quality of the in-person consultation that costs 100,000 won are really way too many.. Honestly, if you’re going to charge 100,000 won for a consultation, then at the very least there shouldn’t be any controversy about the consultation itself. The consultation was very good, and the doctor seemed like a very good person, but the surgery fee was just too expensive. At minimum, I think that’s the kind of evaluation it should get. It feels like the director is just doing this because it’s bothersome and hard, trying to weed out customers who are only roughly considering surgery. If someone comes in paying 100,000 won for a consultation, the chance they’ll go on to surgery is high, and even if they don’t have surgery, the consultation fee is 100,000 won so it’s profitable. And because the consultation fee is 100,000 won, tentative patients who are half-doubting it won’t come in from the start, so it’s easier too. Especially the fact that the surgery deposit is completely non-refundable regardless of how much time is left until the surgery date seems like it could be legally problematic. For most cosmetic surgery customers with gentle hearts, this policy would probably feel pretty cold. So to sum up: I wouldn’t recommend it for a first surgery or for revision due to insufficient results. For patients with serious complications who need reconstruction, though, since you’ll be spending a lot of money anyway and equipment matters, I do recommend it.
