Advantages: 1. This is the biggest reason I chose this hospital: the director's surgical methods are fairly trendy. The front canthoplasty is called a diagonal canthoplasty, so it seems they operate in a way that preserves the shape of the eye corner instead of the traditional method that rounds it off and avoids scar tissue. Compared with friends who had double eyelid surgery at other hospitals using the usual front canthoplasty method, their surgeries also turned out well, but if you look closely, all of them had rounded inner corners and some even developed slight scar tissue along the aegyo-sal line. The suture positions were different too. Mine stretched diagonally upward at the 10:10 direction, overlapping with the double eyelid line, while my friends' were lower at the 8:20 direction, overlapping with the aegyo-sal line. For the rear/bottom canthoplasty too, after checking the website, it looked like they use a method that does not cut the mucous membrane above and below and cause a D-shaped side effect, but instead makes only a minimal straight incision at the outer corner. 2. The director clearly prefers non-incisional adhesion. In consultations at other hospitals, I was always recommended incisional methods and even eye correction, but here they said there was no need to cut unless absolutely necessary, and that non-incisional adhesion was possible. It seems they usually recommend non-incisional adhesion unless it's a revision case or a really eye that has no answer except incisional surgery. One of the consultation managers said they had surgery with the director using the incisional method, and it looked extremely natural, so I think they are good at incisional surgery too. I chose non-incisional adhesion, and the result was a success. It came out naturally and nicely, but for some reason I feel like it might loosen or drop later and I'll have to get revision surgery with an incision, so I did wonder how it would have been if I'd gone with incisional surgery from the start. 3. Including friends who had surgery here one after another, the operations turned out very well, and the doctor's skill itself seems beyond doubt. Disadvantages: 1. Don't expect a detailed, friendly explanation from the director. He doesn't talk much and is cynical. That doesn't mean he is careless, though... I felt confidence more than friendliness, and his consultation style was extremely simple, explaining only what needed to be explained, taking questions, and leaving. It felt like he was so confident that he didn't need to force self-promotion. 2. There is only one doctor, but the hospital is quite large and there are three consultation managers. Some of them seem like salespeople who inspire no trust at all, while others have a good image and speak clearly... something like that. Good facilities can be a plus, but for a private clinic it felt too much like a large hospital to me. 3. The consultation order is manager -> director -> manager, but you spend more time talking with the manager than with the director, and there is pressure to pay a deposit, which really put me off. I said there were three managers, and while some are calm and trustworthy, if you get the wrong one, before the doctor has even looked at your eyes the manager starts recommending unnecessary procedures without any real expertise, and when talking about costs they haggle like salespeople... I felt most people who just come for a consultation would probably cut ties here. 4. And this is really the biggest drawback: when removing stitches and when coming back for follow-up after surgery... you can't see the director. After the swelling laser, the consultation manager just says, "Looks good~" and that's the end. Then why even ask me to come?
